Ihania pikkukatuja, niin Lontoota! | Lovely little streets, so, so London!
Lontoo oli mielikuvissani suurkaupunki pilvenpiirtäjineen ja kuuluisine maamerkkeineen. Se Lontoo, mihin olen tutustunut, on kuitenkin paljon lähestyttävämpi ja muodostuu ikään kuin hyvin toisistaan poikkeavista kylistä. Turisteja ja ihmisiä yleensäkin on kaduilla paljon, mutta muilta osin Lontoo voisi olla missä tahansa Englannissa. Olen nähnyt tästä valtavasta kylien mosaiikista vasta hyvin vähän, mutta toivottavasti tulevaisuudessa vielä näen lisää.
London in my mind was like a gigantic city with its skyscrapers and famous landmarks. The London I’ve gotten to know is much more approachable than that, and is formed of villages very different from each other. Tourists and locals swarm the streets but apart from that, London could be anywhere in England. I have only seen a little of this huge mosaic of villages, and hopefully will keep adding to my familiar London locations each time I go over.

Camden Market on boheemi katutorialue, jolla myydään pääosin vaatteita. Paljon kaikenlaista kivaa, erityisesti englantilaisten erilainen takkityyli on minusta ihana. Tälläkin alueella minua kiinnosti enemmän torin ympäristö ja arkkitehtuuri sekä lähialueiden kadut, joilla asui selkeästi rikkaampia ihmisiä. Lontoossa tosin ei kai voi kovin halvalla edes asua.
I will start with where we went first, the Camden Market. It was a bohemian street market area with endless stalls selling mostly clothes. I was more interested in looking around me than looking at the stuffs. I must say they had really gorgeous jackets.

Covent Garden oli Camden Marketin alueen jälkeen hyvin erilainen kokemus. Varakkaat britit nauttivat ravintoloista, teatterista sekä katutauteilijoista.
Covent Garden was a wealthier place where money was spent. Gorgeous surroundings with historical London around me, plenty of really great-looking, expensive shops, the Royal Opera House, and the covered market now filled with better places to eat at, enterntainers and people having a good time together.
